Uploading a File

What you'll do

Attach a file to a task or comment so it's stored alongside your work.

Before you start

You need Editor or above permissions in the Space. The file must be under your organization's size limit (ask your administrator if unsure).

Steps

Attaching to a task

  1. Open a task.
  2. Scroll to the Attachments or Files section.
  3. Click Attach file, Upload, or drag a file into the area.
  4. Select a file from your computer.
  5. Wait for the upload to complete.
  6. The file appears in the task.

Attaching to a comment

  1. Open a task with comments.
  2. Click in the comment field.
  3. Click Attach (icon or button) or drag a file into the field.
  4. Select a file from your computer.
  5. Finish typing your comment.
  6. Click Post.

What happens next

The file is stored with the task or comment permanently. You can:

  • Click the file to download it.
  • Preview the file if it's an image, PDF, or video.
  • Share the task link to give others access to the file.

If someone deletes the task, the attachments are deleted too (unless your organization keeps archives).
