Connecting an HR Provider

What you'll do

Link your payroll or HR system (Gusto, Rippling, ADP, BambooHR, Workday, and 200+ others) to your Company Space so employees sync into Hub automatically.

Before you start

  • You need to be an admin of the Company Space you're connecting.
  • Have an active account with the HR provider and admin permission to authorize a third-party integration.
  • Make sure the provider holds the employee data you want to see in Hub — Hub will only ever show what the provider exposes.

Steps

  1. Open your Company Space.
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  3. On the HR provider card, click Connect HR provider.
  4. You'll be sent to a secure provider picker. Find your HR system in the list and click Continue.
  5. Sign in to the provider and grant Hub permission to read employee data.
  6. The provider sends you back to Hub. The card now shows a green Connected badge with the provider name.

What happens next

  • A green banner confirms "Connected to your HR provider. Employees are syncing now."
  • Hub fetches the employee directory in the background. Within a few minutes the Last synced timestamp updates to "just now" and your employees appear in the directory.
  • Each synced employee carries a Source badge in the list and a Sync section on their profile showing the provider name, last sync time, and external ID.
  • After the first run, Hub keeps the directory in step automatically. Use Sync now on the same Integrations card any time you want an immediate refresh.

If you want extra fields from the provider — nationality, date of birth, department, location, work phone — open the matching custom attribute and fill in its Source path so Hub knows where to find that value in the provider's payload. See Adding a Custom Attribute.
