Inviting Someone to Your Space
What you'll do
Send an invitation to someone to join your Space with a specific role.
Before you start
You need Owner or Editor permissions in the Space to invite people. Check with your Space owner if you're unsure.
Steps
- Open the Space you want to invite people to.
- Go to Members or Team (exact label depends on your Space type).
- Click Invite member or Add member.
- Enter the person's email address.
- Choose their role (Owner, Editor, Viewer, or other roles depending on your Space).
- Click Send invitation.
An email invitation is sent to that person. They will receive it in their inbox with a link to accept.
What happens next
The person you invited receives an email. When they click the link and accept:
- They become a Member of your Space
- They can see the Space in their Space switcher (Cmd+K / Ctrl+K)
- They have access according to their role
- Both you and the new member receive a notification
If they decline, they don't become a member and can ask for another invitation later.
