Inviting Someone to Your Space

What you'll do

Send an invitation to someone to join your Space with a specific role.

Before you start

You need Owner or Editor permissions in the Space to invite people. Check with your Space owner if you're unsure.

Steps

  1. Open the Space you want to invite people to.
  2. Go to Members or Team (exact label depends on your Space type).
  3. Click Invite member or Add member.
  4. Enter the person's email address.
  5. Choose their role (Owner, Editor, Viewer, or other roles depending on your Space).
  6. Click Send invitation.

An email invitation is sent to that person. They will receive it in their inbox with a link to accept.

What happens next

The person you invited receives an email. When they click the link and accept:

  • They become a Member of your Space
  • They can see the Space in their Space switcher (Cmd+K / Ctrl+K)
  • They have access according to their role
  • Both you and the new member receive a notification

If they decline, they don't become a member and can ask for another invitation later.
