Appearance and Branding

What it is

Appearance settings let you customize how your Space looks: logo, accent colour, font family, border radius, spacing, and light/dark mode. Administrators can customize at the Space level or platform-wide.

When to use it

Use appearance customization to:

  • Match your organization's branding (logo, colours)
  • Set a consistent look across all Spaces
  • Choose light or dark mode based on preference
  • Adjust font, spacing, and border styles for readability

Where to find it

Appearance settings are in the Space or Platform settings (depends on your role). Look for "Appearance", "Theme", or "Branding".

How it works

Customizing appearance:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Find Appearance or Theme.
  3. Choose from preset themes or create custom settings:
    • Logo — upload your organization's logo
    • Accent color — the primary brand colour
    • Font family — choose a typeface
    • Border radius — how rounded corners are
    • Spacing — how tight or loose the layout feels
    • Appearance mode — Light, Dark, or Both
  4. Click Save.

Presets:

Hub ships with preset themes (Default, Dracula, Nord, etc.). Choose one as a starting point and then customize individual settings.

Platform vs. Space:

  • Platform appearance — the global look that applies everywhere
  • Space appearance — overrides the platform look for that specific Space
