Saving and Reusing a Prompt

What you'll do

Save a message you've sent in Ask Anything as a reusable prompt, so you can fire it off again later without retyping it.

Before you start

  • You need an existing message in a chat conversation — send the message first, then save it.
  • Saved prompts are per-user. Only you see your saved prompts.

Steps

  1. Open the conversation that contains the message you want to save.
  2. Open the message menu on that message and choose Save as prompt.
  3. Give the prompt a name (for example, "Monthly contribution report").
  4. Optionally add a description so you remember what it does.
  5. Click Save prompt.

Reusing a saved prompt

  1. In any chat, open the Saved prompts menu.
  2. Pick the prompt you want. It loads into the composer.
  3. Edit it if you need to, then send.

Editing or deleting

Open the saved prompts menu, find the prompt, and use the pencil icon to edit or the trash icon to delete. Deleting a saved prompt does not delete any conversations or results it produced.

What happens next

Your prompt is now available any time you're chatting in this Space. If you want it to run on its own on a schedule, see Scheduling a Recurring Prompt.
